OUR MISSION
Our mission begins with a heart awakened by the disparities that exist in the world:
Mothers and infants who die during birth.
Stunted children whose future has been forever compromised by poverty, by poor nutrition, by repetitive illnesses.
Couples whose marriage and relationship has ruptured, leaving in the wake single mothers, fatherless children and men whose lives fade into purposelessness.
Our mission becomes hands:
The hands of a midwife and physician helping a mother through a difficult delivery.
The hands of a couple who reach towards each other in forgiveness and reconciliation and in renewed commitment to love and to unity with each other.
The hands of a hungry child putting protein rich food into her mouth.
Our mission continues as Hope (and hope is an action word):
That couple-centered development will lead to healthy families and communities.
That all mothers and babies will experience a safe birth, free of death, free of injury and free of HIV infection.
That the first 1000 days of life will be made safe, secure and healthy for all children.
