The ultrasound is a life-saving tool in reducing infant and mother complications during pregnancy and childbirth

Our goal is to provide ultrasounds in those rural areas of Africa that have the least resources.  It is not enough to simply purchase an ultrasound and drop it off at an under-resourced facility, however.  Maternal Life coordinates with health facilities to ensure adequately trained staff are available to read and interpret results, and ongoing follow-up ensures the device is being used effectively and efficiently.
